* Learn how to
navigate the website
to get to
your file manager
First of all, you will need to go to www.bravenet.com and createa site. You will need to establish a sign on name and a password. The sign on name will get you into the site. you will also need to choose a site nameand password. i use the same ones, for convenience sake and so that i don't forget it.Now, let's get into the file manager.....go to the bravenet main page and sign in.....look for this box in the upper right hand cornerThat will take you to the member's area pagewhere you will see this,Here is where you would edit your accout info, orclick on website hosting link which you will find....directly underneath your member info box.That will take you to this page.....Click on the link to get to your old file manger.Once you get to this point, you are almost to the file manager.....The example you are seeing is only a portion of the page. Under Create/Build Your Site you would click on HTML File Manager.This will take you to the file manager (webshell) where you canupload your files, edit your html documents, etc.This is the File Manager Page for Bravenet. It is a good idea tobookmark your file manager page. The bookmark will take youdirectly into your file manager.<!-- Begin Bravenet.com Button Link -->

height=52 width=102 border=0 alt="Bravenet.com"></a>
<!-- End Bravenet.com Button Link -->Once inside the file manager you will see a place to make yourdirectory folders and pages....You can edit, rename, move, copy ordelete to the right of each file. The space at the top tells you which folder, if any you are in and lets you change with a simple dropdown. All in all, the manager is easy to follow. Think of it as your stationery file on the web. Everything you want to be able to see on the internet goes into the file manager including backgrounds, music files, images, and the html document that pulls them all together.Further down on the previous page under Administer Your Site,you can click on Account info to change any info on there or verifythat what you have is correct. Bravenet allows you to use your FTP (WS_FTP, Cute FTP, etc.)to upload your files quickly and easily to your site.Click on the link for FTP Tutorial and the information youneed for FTP use will be given there.I use it alot, make backing up your site so easy to do.I hope that you have found some useful information here.Good Luck with your site !Hugs,KarenIf you have any questions,or need some help,drop me a line....
