Setting up Preview
in Outlook Express

You will need to be using Outlook Express version 5.0 or higher to be able to use the Preview Pane.  First you will need to right click on an empty space in the large toolbar at the top of your screen.

You will see a box, highlight customize

and this box will open.

Locate Preview in the Available toolbar buttons on the left hand side of the box and  click on add.   The preview will move to the right hand side of the box.

Then click on close to save your change.

After you have done this part, you will need to open a new message..... next, click on view at the top of the message.
Put a check beside view source edit.

Now you will be able to see three tabs at the bottom of each email message.   Edit is the top layer of the message where you will type your messages.  Source is the inside part of the message, where you will be able to edit  the code that makes up the document.  Preview will let you view the message as the viewer will see it and especially useful in finding scripting errors.   This part will only need to be done once..... each time you open a message,
these tabs will now appear.
