Stationery Viewing Help
First of all, it is important to know which version of
Outlook Express you are running. Some problems with
stationery viewing are due to which version of OE you are
currently using. For instance, if you are using version 4.0 or
5.0,
you will not be able to see popups at all.
You need to be using 5.5 or 6.0 to be able to see them.
If you are using Outlook Express 6.0, the security settings in your
Outlook Express will need to be changed.
No change will be needed for OE 5.5.
See example below for the correct settings for OE6.
Be sure to click on Apply/OK to save your changes.

Now you should be able to see the popups, but how about
the filter part? Can you see the water moving
and the golden glow around the text ? Also, the text box has an
opacity filter so
that you can see through the box color to the background
below.
If not, you may be missing some Metacreations dll files.
A great site for troubleshooting is the Letterman Stationery Site ,
created and maintained by Bill Scott. The site is packed full
of
resources that you will find helpful and scripts for Outlook
Express.
Just which files you may need depends on what version of Windows
you are running. A good way to find out which files you need is
to
run the what's installed.exe which you will find at the link
below......
Click on the link called What's Installed to find out.
Then, if you do need any of the Metacreations Filters,
you will find them here....
Now, once those are all installed and you have registered those
Metacreations dll files that require it, reboot and run What's
Installed again.
You should now be able to see both the glowing gold text
and the ripple filter used for this page.
If you still cannot see it, and would like to contact me,
please feel free to email me @ karebear56@adelphia.net.
Mark your message as high priority so that
I will be sure to see it quickly and be able to help you.
With all the changes that are made so often at Microsoft,
sometimes problems will arise.
Be sure to check your security settings from time to time.
Duplicate File Fix:
If you have encountered a problem after a Windows Update with
duplicate images
that will not embed, you will need to download and install the
intercomm.dll file
in order to make the necessary corrections. The Letterman's
Stationery link for
downloading and instructions on where to install the file are
available at
Letterman intercomm fix .
